Clear Creek School 1929 - 1990

The name of our school is Clear Creek. It is also the name of the community around our school. The first Clear Creek school was a log building located on the farm of David May on That Road. The school was later moved to a frame structure located on the southwest corner of South Rogers Street and Gordon Pike next to Bachelor Middle School. In the fall of 1929 a four room red brick schoolhouse was built at the present site on Clear Creek Drive. This building originally served children in grades 1 through 8. The last 7th and 8th graders attended Clear Creek in 1952. In 1959 a limestone addition was added to the school. The addition included six new classrooms, restrooms and a gymnasium. The year 1990 marked a historic moment for Clear Creek Elementary School as the old building was demolished and children and staff moved into the current building.

Through the years, Clear Creek Elementary School has been the center for community activities. The school has earned a reputation of providing a good solid education to its students and producing many fine adults.
