Our Turtles

We have turtles,
BIG and small,
Dark green,
Light green,
Many types of green.
They hibernate,
In winter's time.
We find a grasshopper,
On the ground.
They walk slowly,
They don't scare the thing,
They bite it,
They chew it,
Now swallow it down.
What a lovely treat this is.
We buy food,
Catch it too.
Our two turtles get,
A lot of food.
They blend into grass so green,
They blend so well,
I can't see a thing.
They walk so slow,
Not too fast.
That's because,
They have a shell on their back.
We have turtles,
BIG and small.
They're really neat,
Short or L---O---N---G.

The snow is like a big cotton ball that is fluffy and white.
When the snow falls and covers the ground,
It is a beautiful sight.
You can make igloos, snow forts, snowballs, and
snow cubes.
Sometimes the snow freezes and forms icesicles
That hang down from your house and look like tubes.
It is fun to go sledding, especially down a hill,
But after you get up, you get a big chill.
